UPDATE TIME!!

Another summer is approaching us and that means another Mitchell Clan Family Reunion!! Chris n' Janene are in charge this year. We are working on the details as we speak. We have reserved a group camp site up Provo Canyon called Lodgepole, which is about 15 miles east of Heber City up Daniel's Summit. The Lodgepole campground is a group site with a pavillion. We will rough it in tents or trailors or tent trailors :) The date we have reserved for Lodgepole is July 8-10th. Also!!! Since I have you here reading our family blog, I really would like to get this blog updated with recent family pictures, etc. Could you please please please send an updated family picture to mitchclan@hotmail.com and give me your address, phone number and email address. Would love to have an updated family address list and an easy way to coorespond with everyone instead of the snail mail : ) Mark your calendars for July 8th-10th for our reunion :)

Smiles, Annie

INFORMATION ABOUT LODGEPOLE CAMPGROUND

Lodgepole Campground is located in scenic Daniels Canyon just a short drive from Heber, Utah and Strawberry Reservoir, at an elevation of 7,800 feet. Lodgepole is in a beautiful mountain setting, and is forested with pines, firs, and aspens; willow and wildflowers are plentiful. The campground has been recently upgraded with flush toilets and running water, as well as some group picnic pavilions, and is a very clean campground. Loop A contains reservable individual sites, while Loop B contains two group camping sites, one for up to 50 people, and one for up to 100 people. First come, first served sites are available in both loops. Busy Highway 40 runs near the campground, and its possible you will hear traffic from it. Daniels Creek runs alongside the campground and is stocked with rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout. Foreman Hollow Trail begins in the campground and offers easy to moderate hiking on a 4-mile loop with excellent views of Strawberry Reservoir, Strawberry Peak, and Twin Peaks. Strawberry Reservoir is 12 miles away, with plentiful fishing, boating, and canoeing opportunities, as well as 75 miles of trails on the Strawberry OHV Trail System, and numerous, extensive mountain biking trails. Strawberry Visitor Center has interpretive displays, a working fish trap and egg collection station, and a nature trail.
